Volume One features a full CD of works of Italian baroque master Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583-1644), plus a second CD of rare early English keyboard masterpieces, all performed on a legendary 1907 striped zebra-wood Pleyel. Early stereo master tapes, recorded at 30 ips by recording genius Jerry Newman have been digitally remastered by Doug Pomeroy to provide an aural experience so spectacular it sounds like they were recorded today! With a newly written essay by Larry Palmer, author of "The Harpsichord in America". Two historic, sumptuously performed, sonically fabulous CDs for the price of one!
